This is definitely one of C. S. Lewis's greatest works. He is magnificent in his fictional books, but is not ill equipped in theological matters. In this book, Lewis explains why he believes in Christianity and, obviously, what Christianity is. I mean, C. S. Lewis was a genius. His many literary works keep him alive and well. His witty humor and style of writing is like no other. He is fun and easy to read but yet has such deep and meaningful thought. I highly recommend this book. It will not let you down.

I couldn't agree more, David. I reserve the place of greatest Lewis work for his essay, The Inner Circle, but Mere Christianity is most certainly another one of his finest. What amazes me most about Lewis' writing is the depth of simplicity in his logic, yet the incredible knowledge behind it. His books strike me like the Bible in some senses, in that I can read them a multitude of times and continue learning something new each time.
